Sibling singers Bernarda and
Marcos Fink have recorded a collection of songs and duets from Slovenia for Harmonia Mundi.

Slovenija! pays homage to the mezzo-soprano and bass-baritone’s Slovenian parents’ birthplace.
The pair chose material composed around the turn of the 20th
century that illustrates the melting-pot influences of the major European musical centers of the day and the country’s own Balkan-accented individuality.

The disc is the second Harmonia Mundi recording featuring the brother and sister, and follows Canciones Argentinas, which was released in 2006.

Anthony Spiri accompanies at the piano.

Slovenija! is released in the UK on February 28, and in the
United States on March 8.
